Relax Time

Well now is the time of the year that is considered relax time!!
We had another great Christmas in the Roberts/Madvig Household. Christmas started with Christmas Eve w/Madvigs and relatives. It's always great to see the relatives that from out of town. This year we got to meet the newest cousin Sophie. She is such a cutie!! We were minus one family this year due to illness, but we will be meeting up with them here in the near future.

Christmas morning, Brad and I have been going to his parents house for breakfast and gift exchange between the four of us. It's always very nice to have some quiet, peaceful time during the busy season.

Later on Christmas Day we spend with my family, this year we were at my brother's house. My sister and brother in law were able to come in from out of town as well. My nieces are always the center of attention :-). They sure know how to keep everyone entertained. After everyone was full from dinner and the presents were opened we all gathered downstairs for some video game and board game fun.

Then Friday I had an unexpected day off, which was nice to be able to sleep in and run some errands. Although I have to say that the day after Christmas shoppers can be pretty crazy. Brad and I will normally do after Thanksgiving shopping, but it doesn't seem to be as crazy.

Well that's all for now, I hope everyone has a great New Year 2009 will definitely be something to look forward to!!

Christmas Week

So this will be where I blog now about the ongoings on life in the Roberts- Madvig Household.
As our wedding approaches there will be blogs on www.amyandbrad.com that is our wedding website.
This last weekend was pretty busy for us, on Friday night we had Game Night which is always a blast.
Saturday we got together with some friends and a had a great time there as well. Luckily enough when we were out driving Saturday Night the snow had pretty much stopped and the roads weren't too bad. Sunday again we were out running errands, but the roads were still pretty slick. I just don't get how people forget to drive in the snowy, icy weather every year. I can't tell you how many accidents and spinouts we saw during a 4 hour period.

Now this week is always the craziest of the year. This year we have 3 days of Christmas with the Madvigs this year it starts on Tuesday. Usually I like to get my Christmas Cards out in the mail by the week before Christmas. Well this year that didn't happen, we've had a lot going on the past couple of weeks where the weekends have been jam packed. Last night I decided too wrap all the gifts and send out the Christmas Cards. I think I started wrapping at around 5pm and I got done around 10:30.

Well at least I get a break before I have to address all the envelopes for the Save the Date cards that will be going out in the mail in Mid January. Speaking of which I just called the company and had to complain because I orderd the Save the Dates in Mid December. I just got them in the mail last week and the coloring on them was really bad and really inconsistent. They are going to be redoing them, I"m crossing my fingers hoping they turn out this time.

Also for Wedding News this weekend Brad and I were out and about finishing up the Christmas shopping and what not. We did our first wedding registry which is at Kohls, so I know it may sound silly but it just makes it more real for us. We will be registering at Target as well after the holidays are over.

We are at 7 months and 24 days and counting!!

I hope everyone has a great week and has a wonderful Christmas!
